We're here

We're here with Kaylee in Cincinnati now. Her NG tube is in and she's starting to get cleaned out. She also had a PICC line placed in her arm which they'll use for her IV nutrition and fluids while she's here. Poor girl did not enjoy either of those procedures. The NG tube is bothering her nose and throat and she screamed and cried the entire time they were putting the PICC line in. I know it did hurt her a few times as she said "Ow", but she also hated to be held down. I know she was terrified and it was so hard to see her have to go through that. Unfortunately it also took longer than normal as they had to call in a radiologist to help get the line in and that added to the time.

Now she's exhausted and fell asleep watching the Wiggles. We finally got the internet working and are trying to get settled. A major praise that we got into the Ronald McDonald House! I called and put us on the list yesterday and they called as we were driving here this morning! Now Andrew or I will have a place to sleep as well as eat. What a blessing and the other kids and family can come visit easily.

One of the surgeons has already been by and said the procedure is scheduled for 9:20 in the morning and might last 1-2 hours.

The other kids seem to be doing ok back with my sister and parents in Indy. Of course they've been very busy playing and enjoying special treats like cookies and chocolate for breakfast! They might not want us to come back home!
