Doing well

We've been in Indianapolis since Tuesday with my sister, parents and family. My parents leave tomorrow for their home in Florida. It was sure a big help to have them here these last few weeks to be with all the kids. Things can sure be loud and crazy with 6 kids ranging in age from 2-6! I know the cousins had a blast playing together. It's been good to see each other again and especially good that Kaylee has done so well.

We're going up to see my brother and his wife later today. They're about 2 hours north of here. Tomorrow we will have lunch with the family who adopted Jackson's foster sister. From what we can calculate, they spent the last 6 months of their time in China together in the same home. They are nearly the same age and with the same special need. What a surprise when the foster family gets these photos we plan to take! Then we'll drive another few hours and spend the day and night seeing aunts, uncles and cousins we haven't seen since we moved away from IN 12 years ago. Plans are to leave for TX on Monday.

Kaylee is still doing well. We had a few days of getting her laxatives sorted out compounded by her body getting used to food again. I also had a few concerns how the healing was going, so I emailed photos to her surgeon who assured me things looked fine. She's been making up for all the days of not eating and now won't stop! It's so great to see her hungry and be able to give her food.

Yesterday we had professional photos taken of all the cousins as well as some for Kaylee's 3rd birthday. They really turned out cute. When we get back home I'll post them--along with many more photos of our trip.

The weather here has been nearly perfect with sunny skies and temps close to 80. I know we're going to enjoy the outdoors for a few more days before we get back to the TX heat!
