The pediatrician diagnosed an ear infection in the beginning stages and put Kaylee on an antibiotic since it's so close to her surgery time. Normally neither the doctor nor I would have wanted to do antibiotics, but with the importance of Kaylee staying as well as possible it's important to try and nip this in the bud rather than risk things getting worse. I hope they're right!
We feel at peace about all this and are planning on leaving as scheduled. Kaylee's continued to have a fever off and on today.
