For anyone reading this blog and lifting us up in prayer, here's another request. As I've mentioned before we've had some unexpected expenses requiring needing some extra cash. With the time difference between the US and here it's been difficult to coordinate something, and at the last minute on Friday our bank was able to send a wire transfer via Western Union. Last minute because for me to facilitate this meant being up in the middle of the night sending and receiving emails Friday night here.
Today Andrew went to pick up the money which again isn't easy because it requires a taxi and a guide to help. Good news is the money is here. Bad news is that they won't release it to him because it didn't list his whole name as shown on his passport. The recipient listed was just his first and last name. He said the bank was less than helpful, so at least he had someone along to help and we did find out the money is here. Honestly, how many Americans with his exact name and having all the correct transfer numbers and sending information are going to show up at the one particular WU branch in China asking for money?
Please pray this can be sorted out and we can get the funds tomorrow! We leave Guangzhou in 2 days. We need whatever needs to happen be it just a name change or everything to be redone, that it be done correctly and quickly.
