We're done!

Yes, Kaylee has been released to go home to TX! We started the normally 2 hour drive to cincy from indy at 5:30 this morning. An early start because 2-4 inches of snow was forecasted and I found out last night at supper time Kaylee needed an xray at 9:30 before her clinic appt at 10:30.

Fortunately, the snow was only a problem for about 20 minutes because once we got just a little ways south there wasn't much snow and highway traffic got rid of a lot of it. We got to Cincy in about 2 hours, and had both the xray and clinic appt done by 10am.

The xray was to check for any stool building up, but it was absolutely clean. The doctor was happy with the way healing was going. The cathether was removed and she's already had a wet diaper so no worries there.

She slept all the way back to Indy, ate a huge lunch, and enjoyed her first real bath in over 3 weeks.

Wish we could say when we're heading back to TX. The weather is not good and the forecast also doesn't look promising. We may end up trying to find a commercial flight if our friend can't make it up with his plane in the next few days. Freezing rain is predicted for IN tomorrow. Even though I grew up in IN it doesn't mean I enjoy every part of the winter!
